LESYA ORTYNSKA
Lesya Ortynska is a contemporary figurative artist born in Ukraine in 1976. She studied at the Taras Shevchenko State Art School in Kyiv before continuing her education at the Ukrainian National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Between 1994 and 2000, she specialized in monumental painting and temple culture under the guidance of Academician M.A. Storozhenko. Her diploma work, the triptych The Creation of the World (240×380 cm), has been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions, including Nord Art in Germany.
Over the years, she has lived in Germany and India before settling in France, where she currently resides and works. Her art is inspired by the human microcosm, philosophy, and nature as an architect of forms and harmony. Passionate about vibrant colors and strong contrasts, she develops a semi-realistic figurative style characterized by striking visual intensity. Her works are now part of private collections worldwide.
